Worth Far more than the Paper it’s Written On

Swish Window and Door Systems has added a new and highly cost effective consumer insurance backed guarantee to its authorised installer scheme designed to tip the ‘sales’ balance in the favour of its members.

Available to qualifying retailers, the scheme has been developed to give installers access to new sales platforms including full deposit protection alongside 10 years guaranteed ‘peace of mind’ on works undertaken.

Rob McGlennon, sales director, Swish Window and Door Systems, said: “Consumer confidence is always critical and particularly at a time when many retail businesses are struggling and in the worst case scenario, going out of business.

“Swish is one of the very few, if not the only window and door systems company to enjoy national brand reputation outside the industry and for that reason it’s that little bit easier to generate leads.

“But more importantly being able to sit down with the homeowner and offer 10 year’s peace of mind on the product that they’re buying and the quality of work that’s being delivered, those leads are that much easier to convert.”

Including conservatories and conservatory base work, in addition to windows and doors, the scheme starts from just £19.75 per installation, under-written by the only UK domiciled insurance provider QANW.

To qualify, Swish Authorised Installers have to register each installation with QANW. For those already registered with Certass, this single registration allows them to meet their obligations under building control at the same time.

Certass is also offering Trustmark status – the Government backed responsible trades people campaign – to those installers registered with both it and the Swish Authorised Installer Scheme.

The insurance backed guarantee is also open to FENSA and BSi registered installers, however, they must register their installations with their member schemes separately to secure appropriate building regulation compliance certificates.

McGlennon added: “Consumers want to buy with confidence and the Swish logo acts as that stamp of assurity. The new insurance backed guarantee strengthens that proposition, something which we believe will give retail businesses a distinct commercial advantage going forward.”

The new insurance backed guarantee has been launched as part of a major re-invigoration of its authorised installer scheme by Swish. Under the re-designed offer a percentage of the value of each installation registered to QANW goes back to the installer towards a monthly marketing and support ‘fund’ from Swish.

Swish Authorised Installers can also access Swish’s U-comply thermal ratings calculator via their fabricator, accessing labels and ratings at no additional charge.
