The Epwin Group, will unveil its new permanent exhibition at the Building Centre, London on the 1st December.
It gives the specialist low maintenance building products group a new presence at the Store Street construction expo and specifiers and architects improved access to innovations in low maintenance and sustainable building technologies.
This includes details on the low carbon recycled window offering RECO22 Epwin Group window systems operation, Profile 22, which became the first window system to secure a dedicated A+ rating across all domestic applications from the BRE in February this year.
With a carbon footprint of extruded profile of just six per cent of that manufactured using virgin material, a triple glazed option means that it achieves a u-value as low as 0.8 W/m2K.
Alan Calverley, Epwin Group, said: “Technology, as in many industries, is moving exceptionally quickly in the window and door sector. Nine or 10 years ago PVC-U wasn’t widely recycled, now we’re able to offer a fully recycled, low carbon in manufacture and thermally efficient and by implication low carbon in life, product range.
“As one of a number of product types specifiers and architects have to get their heads around it can be very difficult to stay abreast of the latest technology. We hope to make that process easier with a permanent exhibition right in the heart of London at the Building Centre.”
RECO22 is also available as a door framing option through Profile 22 sister company, Permadoor. Details on its range of ‘A’ energy rated GRP composite doors will also feature on the Group’s Building Centre stand.
Featuring a tough fibreglass skin emulating the appearance of timber but without the associated maintenance, entrance doors from the Permadoor range can achieve u-values as low as 0.7W/m2K.
Swish Building Products’ pioneering, ‘low CO2’, recycled PVC rainwater system will also form part of the Epwin exhibit. Bringing tons of end of life material back into use the company offers a range of rainwater and guttering profiles manufactured from 84 per cent recycled material.
Calverley added: “We’re launching what we hope will be an important platform for us as a Group in engaging more effectively with the specification sector but also to offer architects and specifiers improved access to product innovation and development. Things which we believe will help them in meeting the increasing expectation among their own clients, to deliver more for less.”
The Building Centre and Epwin group permanent exhibition is open six days a week. A team of industry experts will also be in attendance for the launch on Thursday 1st December.
