Epwin Group will be proving the diversity of low maintenance building products at Ecobuild 2015 with a display of housing through the ages. Products from across the group will be used to recreate property styles from the Post-war, Victorian and Tudor eras. In contrast, a modern façade will represent a typical 21st century dwelling.
Both thought-provoking and informative the stand (N2080) will feature four ‘houses’ each designed to emulate the style and finish of a bygone era while also showing how the products can be used in the refurbishment and renovation of period buildings. ‘Inside’ each property infographics and digital displays will describe the individual components used to create the house.
Using black Tudor board to achieve a timber-frame effect, this house will feature a flush casement window from Profile 22, with a black foiled outer frame and white foiled sash. A black rainwater system will be complemented by black foiled roofline both supplied by Swish Building Products while Permadoor will be taking a new approach with the display of its new solid core door. Taken from its Platinum Collection the new doorset will be cut in two so that visitors can take a closer look at the distinctive solid board inner core; the very thing that makes this product an industry game-changer.
A cobbled pathway will lend this property a dose of Victorian charm while the Balmoral, a traditionally styled composite door from Permadoor in red, will provide the imposing entrance often associated with this era. A vertical slider from Spectus Window Systems will replace the traditional timber sash window while the new cast-iron effect rainwater system from Swish Building Products will further prove the performance and aesthetic capabilities of PVC-U.
Showcasing the shift towards uniformity and complementary styling following the Second World War, this house will be created using colour matched window and door products. A casement window from Profile 22 will be foiled in Chartwell green, likewise the Woodstock, a two panel, glazed arch composite door from Permadoor. With the early 20th century showing a predilection towards timber cladding the frontage will be partially clad using panels from Swish Building Products.
Displaying the products’ new build capabilities this will be the feature area of stand N2080. Launched just 12 months ago and proving to be increasingly popular amongst architects and specifiers, Profile 22’s fully reversible window will represent the latest in PVC-U window technology; finished in anthracite grey externally and Irish oak internally. Complementing this will be Permadoor’s Blenheim doorset also in grey and a clad feature wall courtesy of Swish Building Products. Appearing for the very first time at Ecobuild, interior cladding panels from Marbrex will also be showcased.
