Dekura Appoints New MD

Dekura, the UK’s leading PVC-U recycler, has appointed Richard Morris as its new managing director.

He joins the business on an internal transfer from Epwin Group lamination specialist Foilex, appointed to oversee significant new investment in the recycling operation.

Richard Morris, managing director, Dekura, said: “Rising oil prices plus uncertainty surrounding security of supply make the recovery and recycling of manufacturing ‘waste’ and end of life material not only the environmentally sustainable option but also the only commercially sustainable option.

“For that reason it’s an exceptionally exciting time to join Dekura. I look forward to working with what is a hugely dedicated team, to meet future challenges and capitalise on new opportunities to continue to deliver an unparalleled service to our existing and new customers.”

As an accredited and full member of Recovinly, Dekura provides a complete recycling service with the capacity to collect and recycle both post-industrial and post-consumer waste. The company is at the forefront of PVC-U recycling innovation including all aspects of waste planning and management.

The first recycler to recover not only post-industrial but post-consumer PVC-U in the UK, no recoverable material is sent to landfill by Dekura. Importantly, the company also offers full-cycle traceability on all material it collects.

Tony Williams, operations director, Extruded Products Division, said: “In his new role Richard will help to ensure Dekura continues to lead the market in the recycling of PVC-U and provide the Epwin Group with a sound basis for the manufacturing of sustainable products. I wish him well in his new position.”
