Newglaze expands range and builds for the future
Specialist supplier and installer of windows, doors and conservatories, Newglaze has expanded its already extensive product range as part of ambitious plans for future growth.
Set up in 1980, Newglaze Windows Doors & Conservatories has served the communities of Dorset, the South Coast stretching from Southampton to Lyme Regis, Wiltshire and Somerset, for almost three decades.
Celebrating its 28th year in business this year, the fully BSI accredited company, has grown from small start up to boast a workforce of more than 40 people from its showrooms and sites in Sturminster Newton and Blandford Forum.
Simon Rogers, financial director, argues Newglaze’s growth has been firmly rooted in a commitment to exemplary customer service.
He explains: “The vast majority of our business comes through word of mouth. Our customers are willing to recommend us to their friends and family because they know that we have been around for a long time and know that if there is a problem we will be there to put it right.
“We have a great team of fitters who have been absolutely critical to our growth. They have all gone through years of training, know the products that they are fitting inside out but more importantly are totally customer focused, so we will always put down dust sheets, clean up after ourselves and minimise any disruption.
“Our installers are the front line of our customer service team but they’re supported by a dedicated after sales service and in house administration team – our people have been absolutely fundamental to our success.”
Simon joined Newglaze in 1989 and is one of three partners in the business along with James Mason, managing director and one of the company’s original founders and Nick Wyman, Newglaze’s sales director who joined the business in 1991.
Newglaze’s emphasis on quality and service helped it to become the first company in Dorset to secure BSI’s quality and service accreditation for its full design and fit service in 1994. Based on a strict assessment of every aspect of the company’s service from initial consultation through to aftercare, Newglaze has retained the rating each and every year since.
The growth of the Newglaze business has gone hand in hand with an expanding product portfolio. Today this includes a full range of entrance doors and patio doors, windows and conservatories in PVC-U, aluminium and timber, plus garage doors and flat roofing systems.
Recent additions to the company’s extensive range include a new choice of coloured wood grain-effect PVC-U windows. These offer all of the traditional benefits associated with low maintenance and energy efficient PVC-U products but now also come in a choice of finishes and colours including heritage Chartwell Green, Ice Cream and Gale Grey, and wood effect finishes Antique Oak and Rosewood, black and white.
Sales director, Nick Wyman says: “New windows and doors really do have the potential to transform your home. We have a comprehensive range of styles and finishes to suit any property that not only look great but will make your home warmer, more comfortable and secure.
“And if your family is growing and you’re feeling a squeeze on living space or you simply want to create a new place to relax with a glass of wine and a good book a conservatory could be exactly what you’re looking for.”
Newglaze offers a complete design, and installation management service and can offer its customers expert advice on how best to transform their property. This includes its own dedicated building company which means each and every project can be delivered from start to finish by Newglaze.
As part of its ongoing commitment to service, Newglaze has restructured its business to create a new senior management team. “We’re growing year on year”, says managing director Jim Mason. “As we grow we want to make sure that we continue to deliver the same exceptional standard of service that we have been able to deliver to our customers to date.
“We have four experienced team members who are stepping up to a new management role. We will be looking to them to deliver new ideas, new products and services as we go forward. At the same time they will also be responsible for making sure that as we grow we maintain the same exceptionally high quality of service to our customers.”
Newglaze’s experience within the sector is unrivalled and Jim suggests this means its customers can buy in absolute confidence.
He says: “A lot of window companies have come and gone and then come back again but we have been here for 28 years trading under the same name and offering the same quality service.
“Our customers don’t pay a premium for< getting a quality service - we believe its part and parcel of doing our job.
“That’s why people recommend and come back to us.”
