Environment
We and our businesses across the UK are committed to controlling and minimising their environmental impact.

We are committed to the integration of economic, social and environmental factors in all elements of the business, from raw materials and manufacturing to installation
and recycling.
Epwin supports Government and European initiatives to improve the sustainability of building materials and encourages customers to take up end of life recycling opportunities to close the loop.
The Building Research Establishment (BRE) has given PVC-U a reference service life of
35 years. More impressively still, the British Standards Institute suggest that this extends to in excess of 40 years when manufactured to accredited standards.
Given that research shows that each PVC-U product can be recycled over 10 times and still maintain performance, it can have a total life span of 400 years, making its credentials as a sustainable material unquestionable.
Group extruded PVC-U can be fully extruded back into the core of other PVC-U building products - this closed loop is fully sustainable.
Epwin has invested several million pounds to create the UK's largest and most advanced PVC-U recycling plant, capable of processing both post industrial and post consumer PVC-U materials.
We ensure compliance with all relevant environmental legislation and follow a programme of continual improvement and innovation, by the operation of an environmental management system to the requirements of
BS EN ISO 14001:2004.
Epwin is committed to supporting and offering training to employees. We work closely with local communities across the UK, supporting all project stakeholders and ensuring we deliver positive outcomes for all.
