Epwin Group Listed in Sunday Times HSBC Top Track 250

The Epwin Group, the specialist low maintenance building materials group, has been listed as one of the UK’s top 250 mid-market businesses.

In its fourth year, The Sunday Times HSBC Top Track 250 annual league table is compiled by Oxford-based research company Fast Track.

It places the Epwin Group among a select number of UK businesses that it suggests are in a stronger position than other areas of the economy to see out current market instability.

An introduction to the study in the Sunday Times states: “If the health of the mid-market is any guide, then British business may be in better shape than headlines about collapsing banks, plunging stock markets and plummeting house prices might suggest.

“In a sector where firms are typically more nimble and less highly leveraged than their larger counterparts, signs remain encouraging.”

With an annual turnover of £196.2million, Epwin Group was listed by Fast Track as the tenth largest business in the South West and 196 nationally.

With unparalleled experience in the supply of low maintenance PVC-U products to the home improvement, social and new build markets, Epwin Group companies are at the forefront of innovation in PVC-U building and sustainable technology.

This includes the launch of a unique post-consumer waste recycling service, while the company has also showcased the World’s first window manufactured solely from recycled material.

Jim Rawson, chairman, Epwin Group said: “The Epwin Group boasts a wealth of talent and experience which we must draw on to ensure that we are geared not just to meet future challenges but to thrive and to continue to grow.

“The market is tougher and we face some difficult decisions but there is still opportunity out there – we must make sure that we’re ready to go out and grab it with both hands.

“Our size and scale gives us huge strength and stability. We know our markets inside out and we are at the forefront of innovation, research and development in each.”
